OBI Seafoods is an Equal Opportunity Employer

Equal Employment Opportunity is an essential element of our company culture and our success. All of us at OBI Seafoods share a strong commitment to providing equal employment opportunities for all our employees and to maintaining a workplace that is free from harassment and discrimination. We rely upon each member of our team to support and uphold the legal requirements of our Equal Employment Opportunity Policy. This expectation also applies to our vendors, partners, and independent contractors, all of whom must be in full compliance with our company's Equal Employment Opportunity Policy.

At OBI Seafoods all employees have equal opportunities for jobs, skills training and promotions regardless of race, color, national origin, ancestry, sex, age, religion, physical or mental disability, medical condition, veteran status, marital status, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity, genetic information or any other non-job related factor. Consistent with these principles, we base all employment decisions only on valid, business-related job requirements. It is equally important that, wherever our business needs take us, we maintain a work environment that honors our diversity by treating one another with mutual respect. Any form of harassment or discrimination violates our core values and our Equal Employment Opportunity policy. By creating and maintaining an environment that honors, respects and celebrates the diversity of our workforce, we will achieve our vision of being a workplace of choice within the seafood industry.

Employee Safety and Health

OBI Seafoods’ highest goal is to conduct our business in ways that ensure that our personnel are provided with a safe and healthy working environment. That commitment begins at the hiring stage and may include drug testing, background checks and safety training on the job.

Anti-Drug and Alcohol Policy

OBI Seafoods is a drug- and alcohol-free company with a zero-tolerance policy. For safety reasons, the use or possession of drugs or alcohol on company property is strictly prohibited as specified in our seasonal work agreements. Employees who work at our production facilities must consent to random, post-accident, and for-cause drug testing as provided in our policy.
