Established in 1911, OBI Seafoods Kodiak is the oldest and largest production facility on Kodiak Island. Processing commercially caught fish began on the Karluk spit in 1882 - this region quickly became and still is an integral and influential component of the fishing industry. Located in the town of Kodiak, OBI Seafood Kodiak runs year-round, churning out a wide variety of products and species including salmon, halibut, rockfish, perch, cod, pollock, flatfish and herring.
